GIF Animations

The most basic of animation techniques, GIF's can create simple motion animations or text/graphic transitions. Unlike other formats, GIF's do not require the viewer to install special software on their computers to replay. We create our Gif animations in Photoshops subprogram Image Ready. 

Flash Animation

Capable of creating everything from simple GIF type animations to complete websites, Flash's creative versatility makes it the leading software for web animations and interactive web design and functionality. Due to the inclusion of an animation TIMELINE, Flash permits each element of an animation to be controlled individually, resulting in each of its elements acting as a 'mini' animation within the whole. The layering of these mini animations is what permits Flash to produce such fascinating results. Due to its inability to be indexed or read by search engines, WebArtsStudios recommends Flash components be used only when SEO is not an important factor. As with all animation types other than GIF's, Flash requires the viewer to install special software (Flash Player) on thier computer to be seen.

3D Animations

The most dramatic animations are those created within 3D Programs such as Maya, 3DMax or Blender. Unlike 2D programs which are only capable of faux 3D with the use of drop shadows and embossing, true 3D alllows the creation of virtual OBJECTS which can be viewed from any angle as if you were actually holding them in your hand. Due to the amount of time required to create objects in 3D, thier practical use is limited when considering them for the web. However, the creation of text animations such as our example is relatively simple and requires less time than many Flash animations while producing a more stunning result.

There are many times when a static image just won't do, especially if you have an e-commerce website selling items that can only be fully appreciated by viewing them from all sides. WebArtsStudio's RotoPhotos allows your visitors to interactivly spin an object to view all sides as well as any of its configurations within a single frame. And unlike video, the animation can be stopped at any angle for better viewing.
